Job Title Disability Services-Note Taker (Part-Time)
Job Description

Note-Taking is provided as an accommodation for students whose documented disability interferes with their ability to take notes. A note-taker will also aid in the individualized classroom needs of the person they are assisting (i.e. turning on the computer, turning pages, getting books out of their backpack).

Essential Duties Summary

• Attend every class.
• Bring necessary materials (i.e. paper or laptop and flash drive).
• Document clear and concise notes
• Document classroom questions and discussions
• Aid in individualized classroom needs agreed upon by note-taker, students, and Director.
• Report student absences or concerns to the Director.
• Maintain student confidentiality

A note-taker is not a Personal Aid or Tutor

Required Qualifications

• Possess college-level language, vocabulary, and English skills.
• Able to take clear and organized notes.
• Agree to adhere to confidentiality standards set by the Disability Services Director.
• Agree to be reliable, prompt, and responsible.
